A ratio of 1000:1 is typical of IPS displays, and the higher that first number is, the better. TN panels are cheaper, but not by much, and IPS panels offer better viewing angles and color reproduction.
Panel technology: We focused on models that use IPS (in-plane switching) display panels, not TN (twisted nematic) panels.Resolution: A 24-inch screen should have 1080p resolution (1920×1080 pixels), and a 27-inch all-in-one should have 1440p resolution (2560×1440 pixels, sometimes called QHD or 2K).Going smaller than 24 inches doesn’t save you a ton of money, while all-in-ones larger than 27 inches are rare to nonexistent. Size: When researching all-in-ones, we stuck to the same screen sizes that we recommend in most of our monitor guides: 24 and 27 inches.Screen: An all-in-one is mostly screen, and we applied the same criteria to them as we do when writing our guides to standalone computer monitors.
